The Inaugural Chicago Circle

Refugees International launched the Chicago Circle with “An Introduction to Refugees International: 55.7 Million in Crisis” on September 19, 2011 at The Arts Club of Chicago. Senator Bill Frist of Tennessee, M.D., RI President Dr. Michel Gabaudan, and Advocate Lynn Yoshikawa discussed global displacement crises and Refugees International’s thirty-two years of lifesaving advocacy.  The host committee for this event included: Marta Holsman Babson, Deborah and Warren Baker, Robin Loewenberg Berger, Jodi Hanson Bond and Garland Bond, Patricia Cox, Elizabeth Galvin (Board Member) and Michael Galvin, Weezie Gates, Lynn and Al Gordon, Jessica and Dominic Green, Eileen Shields-West (Board Chair), Barbara and Peter Steinhauser and Peggy and Arthur Wood. The committee brought together an engaged group of 110 individuals from the Chicago area to participate in this special occasion.
