Refugees International Mourns the Passing of Madeleine Albright, a Former Refugee and Champion of Human Rights

“Madeleine Albright was a champion of human rights and democracy, and she was a stalwart advocate for these principles throughout her distinguished career. A former refugee, she well understood the importance of welcoming the stranger, and continually advanced policies of inclusion. We at Refugees International mourn her passing, but are inspired by her example.”

Refugees International honored former Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright with the 2020 Exceptional Service Award at its 18th Annual New York Circle.
