William Adrián Clavijo Vitto (San Cristóbal, 1990) holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a specialization in International Politics from the Universidad Católica del Táchira in San Cristóbal, Venezuela. He earned an MBA in Foreign Trade and International Finance from Universidade Cândido Mendes (UCAM) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Additionally, he completed his Master’s and Doctorate in Public Policy, Strategies, and Development at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Clavijo has also obtained various diplomas, including Governance and Political Management from George Washington University, Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB), and the Andean Development Corporation (CAF); Effective Local Governments from UCAB and CAF; Security and Citizen Coexistence from UCAB and the Institute for Research on Coexistence and Citizen Security (INCOSEC); and Strategic Implications of Human Rights and the Rule of Law from the American University of Defense. Recently, he completed a course in Agile Project Management at the Brazilian Institute of Oil, Natural Gas, and Biofuels (IBP).

In his professional career, Clavijo has accumulated eight years of experience in the field of research, including two years as a postdoctoral researcher at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, focusing on public policy, institutions, energy, and sustainability. He also served as a lecturer in the Bachelor’s degree program in Economics during this period.

Clavijo has resided in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for the past decade and is the president and founder of the Venezuela Global Association since 2021. This is the first association founded and led by Venezuelans in the state of Rio de Janeiro, aimed at promoting the social and economic integration of Venezuelan migrants and refugees and those of other nationalities in Brazil. Furthermore, Clavijo has served as the Country Coordinator for the Coalition for Venezuela in Brazil since 2021, until his election as a Board Member for the 2023-2025 term.
