Mohammed Naeem
Senior Director for Advocacy Strategy
Mohammed Naeem is the Senior Director for Advocacy Strategy at Refugees International. Previously, Mohammed served as the Deputy Director of Strategy and Partnerships at the American Immigration Council, where he was a founding staff-member of the Center for Inclusion and Belonging (CIB) team. During his tenure, Mohammed helped build the nation’s largest immigration multimedia campaign, reaching close to a $100M donated media valuation, and alongside the Ad Council, spearheaded several content partnerships with leading global brands and social media companies. Previous to the Council, Mohammed worked at More in Common, a multi-national research organization, where he supported the incubation of the U.S. office, managed cross-sectoral partnerships, and launched signature audience research products.
Mohammed began his career as a political organizer, leading movement-building efforts across social and racial justice issues. He currently serves on the Advisory Committee on Public Issues for the Ad Council, Advisory Board for Pathways International, Board of Directors for Refugee Council USA (RCUSA), and is the inaugural Chair of the United States Refugee Advisory Board (USRAB). Mohammed is an alumnus of Stony Brook University, the flagship of New York’s public university system, and lives in Queens, NY.
